Shipping & Returns

The following is our shipping policy for live feeders ONLY

 

  • Live Arrival Guarantee (Package must be signed for by recipient and in the case of butterworms and nightcrawlers insurance must be selected)
  • Claims must be made within 24 hours of delivery or they will not be honored.
  • Live Arrival Guarantee is for replacement of the feeders only. You will be billed for shipping charges.
  • Live food orders will only be shipped Mon-Wed
  • Signature is required on delivery. They need to be signed for the day they are delivered. If they are returned to the post office the guarantee is void.
  • Sorry, we cannot currently ship live feeders to Alaska, Hawaii or outside mainland USA.
  • We do not guarentee live arrival if your highs are over 90°F or the lows are below 35°F. This specifically refers only to the high and low temperature for the day. It does not refer to the exact temperature at the exact time of arrival. Weather information for your location is taken from the Weather Channel and NOAA National Weather Service. It is your responsibility to check the forcast temperatures when placing the order.
     

All Live feeder sales are final. All other returns will be evaluated on a case by case basis. (Shipping charges are not refundable)

The following is our policy for bulbs.

  • All bulbs are tested and working before shipping
  • The T-Rex bulb has a 6 month warranty
  • The warranty is valid only if the registration is filled out and sent to T-Rex
  • If the bulb proves to be defective, it must be returned to T-Rex for a replacement.
  • You are responsible for return shipping charges.
All other dry goods
  • all drygoods sales are final
  • any refunds will be at our discretion
  • you are responsible for shipping on any returns and any shipping charges are not refundable.

Reptiles & Amphibians
All animals are conditionally guaranteed to arrive alive provided all of the following conditions are met.
  1. The low temperature for the day must be above 40 degrees and the high temperature for the day must be below 88 degrees at the destination. This specifically refers only to the high and low temperature for the day. It does not refer to the exact temperature at the exact time of arrival. Weather information for your location is taken from the Weather Channel and NOAA National Weather Service.
  2. Animals shipped by DHL overnight delivery service must be delivered the next day on the first attempt and before 12:01 p.m. (individuals living in remote areas where delivery times may be later should email me to discuss shipping alternatives).
  3. A signature is required for receipt of all shipments. I am not responsible for weather conditions, mechanical failures, mishandling by the carrier, or carrier delays that could void the live arrival guarantee.

All of these conditions are required for the live arrival guarantee to be valid. Failure to meet any one of these conditions for any reason will void the guarantee and your right to any claims. Unless mutually agreed upon in writing and signed by both parties no other policies, terms, or guarantees will apply.

*Important*

There are three criteria you must meet before any claims will be considered:
  1. You must first meet the three conditions set forth in my guarantee as stated above. If you fail to meet any one of those three conditions no claim will be considered.
  2. You must report in detail the exact problem with your order within 24 hours from the time the animal signed for. You may email me at carolinapetsupply@gmail.com or call Karen at 803-348-5260 to advise me of the problem. Again please be sure to include your name, time and date, and a detailed description of the exact problem. If you do not report the exact problem to me within 24 hours no claim will be considered.
  3. DO NOT DISPOSE OF THE ANIMALS. The problem animals (alive or dead) must be available to be returned promptly at my request. This is how your claim will be verified. If you are unwilling or unable to return the animals (alive or dead) then no claim will be considered. Refunds will be for the cost of the animal(s) only. In the case where the price includes shipping, the cost of shipping will be deducted.

Health guarentees:All animals are sold in "apparent" good health at the time of their sale. This refers only to conditions that are clearly visible to the eye at the time the animal is packed for shipping.
